From an Economist’s Standpoint...

I ironed my own shirts this weekend. It probably looks like I ironed my own shirts this weekend. Even considering the meager amount I earn, it would probably be worth my time to take my shirts to the cleaners.

  • you should take a photo of a shirt pre-ironing and post-ironing, post it and let readers be the judge.
mind you, the only way i use my iron is for iron-on decal t-shirts.

  • I think K's idea is great.

It's so annoying when you iron in a big crease that won't come out. I'm so glad that I don't have to wear a suit!

  • Ties are particularly peculiar. What's the point? I have finally learned to tie one. It probably looks like I tie my own tie, too.

  • I never iron shirts! I just stick them in the dryer. So at least you give it a shot.

  • It could be relaxing to iron your own shirt, but I have not done it for a long while, like cooking. Drying cleaning and ordering in is too easy in New York. Yes, post a photo with your self-ironed shirt and self-tied tie.

  • IRON is a four-letter word. Watch your language, please! :)
