Matthew's Foray into Blogging

When I write thank you notes on stationery, I write in pencil. Is that unsophisticated? If I use a pen, I invariably make mistakes, and I have to throw away the expensive cards. If I make a mistake while writing with a pencil, I can just use a Magic RubĀ® eraser to obliterate any evidence of an error.

  • if you use a really nice, thick , charcoal-like pencil it will look more artsy...and just as easy to erase.

  • No, but it makes you unsophisticated that you can't spell "stationery"! Bwah-ha-ha-ha!

(Sorry about that. Every once in a while my inner English major rises up and demands sustinence.)

  • The possibility that the correct spelling of the word that means paper, envelopes, pens, pencils, and other things used in writing was something other than that which I used occurred to me, but, in my haste to make my way out the door in the morning, I forgot to verify the correct forming of words with letters. I corrected it.

  • You could always not write thank you notes. That seems to work out great for me.
