Oh, the Horror!

I hope I will wake up from this nightmare! I broke the lid to my Le Creuset Dutch oven! The enameled cast iron will break if dropped, and that is what happened! I hope, oh, how I hope, I can obtain a replacement lid.

  • maybe i can register for one for a wedding gift and send it to you, matthew.

  • I'm sorry to hear that!

We have a Le Creuset griddle pan and it's so heavy that I need 2 hands to lift it! Wouldn't like to drop it on my foot.

  • Le Creuset Consumer Services replied to my e-mail, and the story may have a happy ending! Although they "are not usually set up to sell to individuals directly," and "can not supply [me] with a cover," they "will reduce the cost of a new unit (pot + cover) [and] will charge only suggested retail reduced by 75%"! (Emphasis added.)
