Tea Tax

Every time I go to Serenitea, I feel like I get a bad deal. They don’t tare the bags, and I noticed that they charge tax. Wasn’t there a little uprising back in 1773 over taxing tea?

  • I tend to order from republic of tea. I like their bulk teas and when in the mood, I make my own bags which I purchase at http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/

As for 1773, lets remember that Bostonians were historically a bunch of rioting fools. Run a google search on Boston Riots. The Tea Party wasn't even the best thing. Oh yeah, the upset wasn't so much with the tea tax, but with the tea monopoly that the tea act installed. Then again I could be wrong.

  • I patronize Serenitea because the cost for the two gallons of gas I expend are less than the cost of shipping from Rishi Tea. I like Republic of Tea. HEB actually sells it loose in the bulk bins.

  • Are you trying to put Starbucks out of business, Matt?
